Dyslexia Screening (£100)
A dyslexia screening is a brief, one to one screening session designed to explore whether a child or young person may be at risk of dyslexia. The screener typically takes around 45 minutes to complete and is delivered in a supportive, low pressure manner.
It includes three short screening tests, alongside additional brief tasks selected by the assessor to gather further information about areas such as working memory and phonological awareness. These additional tasks help to provide a clearer picture of the learner’s profile and whether aspects of learning associated with dyslexia may be present.
The screening does not provide a formal diagnosis but can help identify whether further assessment, such as a full dyslexia assessment, may be recommended. A written report is provided with guidance on next steps and appropriate support.
Dyslexia Assessment (£575)
Ages 8-17
A dyslexia assessment is a detailed one to one assessment designed to build a full picture of how a child learns and processes language. It involves a range of standardised tests that explore phonological awareness, reading, spelling and writing attainment, working memory, processing speed and language skills. The purpose of the assessment is to identify both areas of difficulty and areas of strength, helping to explain a child’s learning profile and how they approach literacy tasks, so that support can be carefully tailored to the individual.
The assessment typically takes approximately 2.5–3 hours, including regular breaks to ensure the child remains comfortable, engaged and focused. The session is supportive and low pressure, with activities presented in a friendly and practical manner. Following the assessment, a detailed written report is provided, explaining the findings clearly and including practical recommendations for both home and school.
Where appropriate, this report can be used as supporting evidence for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) applications.
Specialist 1:1 Tuition (£60p/hr)
What is specialist dyslexia tuition?
Specialist dyslexia tuition is structured, individualised teaching designed to support learners with dyslexia or literacy‑based learning difficulties. Sessions are tailored to the learner’s specific profile and focus on building skills, confidence and effective strategies.
Who can benefit from specialist tuition?
Specialist tuition can support children, young people and adults, including those with a diagnosis, those awaiting assessment, or learners who benefit from a structured, dyslexia‑informed approach regardless of diagnosis.
How does specialist tuition differ from general tutoring?
Specialist tuition uses evidence‑based, multi‑sensory approaches specifically designed for learners with dyslexia and related learning differences. It focuses on how the individual learns, rather than simply supporting homework or curriculum content.
Specialist SENDCo Support
Specialist SENDCo support is available for families and schools who would benefit from experienced guidance in understanding, identifying and supporting children and young people with additional or emerging needs.
This service includes support with early identification, helping to recognise early signs of learning differences or special educational needs so that effective support can be put in place as early as possible. Early identification plays a vital role in reducing barriers to learning, building confidence and supporting positive long term outcomes.
For families, SENDCo support can provide clarity and reassurance through advice on support plans, reasonable adjustments and understanding assessment findings, as well as guidance on working with schools and other professionals.
For schools, strategic SENDCo support is also available. This may include:
• Reviewing and strengthening whole school SEND practice
• Supporting the development of consistent systems and processes for identification and support
• Advising on reasonable adjustments and inclusive classroom practice
• Supporting SENDCos and senior leaders with planning, prioritisation and decision making
• Helping schools move from reactive support to a more structured, proactive and sustainable approach to SEND provision
Strategic support focuses on aligning SEND provision with the wider aims of the school, ensuring that systems are realistic, inclusive and embedded within everyday practice. The aim is to build capacity, confidence and clarity, so that learners receive the right support at the right time, and schools feel well equipped to meet a wide range of needs.
